Rules and costs to plan for
- New textiles are regulated under Uganda's pre-export inspection programme (PVoC). A shipment worth US$2,000 or more needs a Certificate of Conformity issued in India.
- We source new textiles only. From 1 July 2026 Uganda charges a 30% environmental levy on worn clothing.
- Import duty depends on the product's tariff code. Many finished goods fall in the 25% band. We confirm the rate in your quotation.
