Sourced from India
Transport from India
Indhows sources cars, bikes and tractors from India for dealers, farms, fleets and businesses. India and Uganda both drive on the left, so vehicles built for the Indian market are right-hand drive.

Rules and costs to plan for
- Uganda limits the age of used vehicles that can be imported. The limit has been 15 years and a reduction to 13 years was proposed in 2026. We confirm the current rule before sourcing.
- Vehicles and spare parts covered by a compulsory standard need a Certificate of Conformity before shipment. Registration fees and stamp duty are paid in Uganda on top of import taxes.
- Import duty and excise on vehicles depend on the type and engine size. We confirm the rates in your quotation.
