Before you import
Rules and costs to plan for
- These goods fall under Uganda's pre-export inspection programme (PVoC) when they are covered by a compulsory standard. A shipment worth US$2,000 or more then needs a Certificate of Conformity issued in India before it sails.
- Uganda uses the three-pin Type G plug at 240 volts. India uses Types C, D and M. We ask the supplier for the right plug or for adaptors.
- Import duty depends on the product's tariff code. Many finished goods fall in the 25% band. We confirm the rate in your quotation.
